I always thought there was something hidden behind our purple friend. Taken from Wikipedia:

A February 1999 article in the National Liberty Journal, published by evangelical pastor Jerry Falwell, warned parents that Tinky could be a hidden homosexual symbol, saying "he is purple—the gay pride color, and his antenna is shaped like a triangle—the gay pride symbol."

Who gives a shit wether they are or they arent, the idea that watching TeleTubbies can make you gay is almost as absurd as the American Christians thinking a quote from a gay man on a Starbucks cup man can make you gay...

    Although it IS Poland...

I also heard the Polish government is thinking about approving a new law that forbids homosexual expressions at schools. This should mean that various gay teachers should fear for their jobs. Isn't this a bit OTT? I always thought that Poland was one the more modern east-European countries...

Poland is part of the European Union, therefore subscribing the Rome treaty, and the Polish Government is clearly breaching any human right convention with this sort of behaviour...next step to ban all TV productions featuring homosexual actors....

Wow. The spirit of Falwell has infected the Polish government. Great. Because, you know, he was the best thing ever.

so umm how does modernism relates to more conservative social norms? i wouldn't like homosexualism to be encouraged in schools as well

Well it's more the fact that people can't be themselves. And it's not like gay teachers 'encourage' homosexualism... (perhaps some do, but I don't think many of them will...)

being one and manifesting it are two different things. exposing one to people at the age of creating their personality leaves some risk that can be easily evaded

Well perhaps you can clear up what the Polish government exactly wants to forbid?

Because I do agree that exposing to young children can have unwanted effects and for that reason should be forbidden.
