Can you explain what is this Mineshaft and why it's there? It's rather dangerous I shall say.

    Just a tad risky!

The mineshaft is the name for a spectacular but notorious section within a rally stage of our local Rally of Canberra

This in-car video might explain it best for you

Sam, Ben and I were there with camera's a good time was had by all.

If i remember the VR-4 was quite tame in comparison to some of the other vehicles on the block.

What a drop! I guess that's what we call extreme rallying. Must be thrilling though, adrenaline at its maximum!

    Thanks for the link nota.

For trivia that multi-roll car was (<operative word!) a Datsun 180B SSS coupe from the early 1970s. They weren't a bad car (4cyl twin carby) in their day and interestingly some SSS versions had a special h/d 5-speed with the 'dogleg 1st gear' so to select 1st gear was back and to the left (like old 911 Porsches) and 2nd gear was across the gate to where 1st is usually sited
