Thread: '69 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham Cornering Photos

    In one of my Mopar books, there are two photos showing a car turning in what also looks like a parking lot.
    The first one is a '57 Chrysler 300-C. The text says, "Cornering is incredibly flat, even when the car is pushed hard."

    The second one is a '66 Dodge Hemi-Charger. The text for that one says, "Supension is stiff enough to provide great cornering ability with a minimum of roll, yet the ride is not too comfortable."

    well, looking at the pictures and the corresponding captions, it does appear that the concept of "flat cornering" has evolved over time

    As usual, the speed wasn't given. But I guess both cars do well considering their size and weight. Although it does seem to come at some sacrifice in ride as the text mentions. Hey, I've seen some modern cars lean more than that coming off the freeway and making a left or right turn!

    I have heard of active suspension... thanks for the link with the detailed explanation.
    I'm just glad my Cads have a front anti-sway bar. That seems to help a lot.
