    Theres only one crankshaft...

    Here this is the best pisture I've found that shows how a W engine is set up

    Yeah... I thought it was TT but when I checked the website it doesn't say... But I don't think it is.

    And yes the turboes used on the Venow are pretty large.
    Power, whether measured as HP, PS, or KW is what accelerates cars and gets it up to top speed. Power also determines how far you take a wall when you hit it
    Engine torque is an illusion.

    No. It's 2 narrow V 8 cylinder engines tilted joined by a single crankshaft. The red square contains one of the V8s. And both form the W engine.

    Yes, it's the VW VR engine setup. Narrow (15degree IIRC) angle block with offest bores and a single head covering both banks. In that pic of the W12 you can see it really well.

    Don't question me.

    IT'S = it is

    ITS= ownership

    Trust me, I'm smarter than you.

    Regards the engine's "efficiency" - I'd bet the service intervals & maintenance requirements are much more liveable for what is, in essence, an overblown Golf engine, rather than the one where some cowboy glued some bits on in his shed.

    The world would be much worse off if everyone just put a 7.0-litre Chevy V8 in their supercar, no matter how "efficient" its OHV design makes it.

    Its - possessive -> no apostrophe.

    It's - contraction of "it is" -> apostrophe.

    Looks like I'm right yet again...

    Now clear up the "turbos" for the other one.

    Seems like everyone that posts here is a wannabe engineer. Always fighting over efficiency and torque and such. Most of you have no physics lab experience engines....so why? YOU DON'T KNOW. You're guessing.

    Stop guessing, you're probably wrong.

    You're wrong actually. Not because of your spelling either but the fact that you'd bring up something so f'ing pointless as grammer.

    Nobody cares if you can spell/use apostophies properly. Get over it.
