    2004 - Vanquish became the Vanquish S

Cars usually last 6 years or so in production, and the Vanquish was introduced in 2001.

I suspect that the lack of an "all new" successor might have something to do with the fact that Ford wants to sell the company.

Also the Vanquish was never a huge success, and GTs in that price range never are particularly - how many are there? Ferrari 612/599 ...?
    Thanks for all the fish

The Vanquish sells really poor. I think it sold something like 40 cars in the last FY.

Anyway, it gets no press, as Aston concentrates its efforts on DB9 and Vantage, as well as the DBS.

Thanks for clearing stuff up. Actually, you'd be surprised how crowded it is in the Vanquish's segment. There's the two Ferrari's you mentioned, the Mercedes CL 600 (and higher) classes, the Bentley Continental GT and that's about it.

The Bentley Continental and Mercedes CL600/55/65 are closer to the DB9 in concept and prices.

If I were to put money on it, I would be leaning away from you being correct.

There's no way in hell that it'll take over the flagship positon. It's too DB9-like. You can hardly tell them apart. We need something all new.

    Looks good. Real good.

Shame though for Casino Royale. I would have liked seeing the car more.

Yes, I agree. Finally upto scratch.

Gorgeous looking car. What I want to know is how much it weighs...that could make or break it *hopes it'll be agile*.

True, although the Murcielago and Murcielago LP640 were never sold at the same time.

Should Comcast, which is buying NBC, have more motorsports coverage on VERSUS and now NBC? Does North America need a racing tv channel? Find the answer to that exact question on facebook.
