The car I most regularly drive is a Morris Minor 1000. No synchromesh and it's by far the nicest gearbox I've ever used. Also I drive a Land Rover Defender 80 a lot, which also has no synchro gearbox and is good at what it does. Ex-girlfriend used to have a Rover V8 powered Defender, stripped down and very noisy. And I did a few driving lessons in an '03 Vauxhall Corsa 1.3 Diesel with power steering, and was generally piss easy and no fun to drive. Used to drive my Dad's '05 Range Rover V8 Vogue a lot, but don't so much anymore.

I've driven quite a few Cobra replicas, mainly based around a Jaguar V12 with pretty much Granada everything else or crate Ford Motorosport V8s with a whole variety of gearboxes. Also one of the strangest cars I've ever driven was a race-prepped Mini with geared steering. I've never been so scared of driving into a hedge in my life.

I do. The lorry of my new job still requires double-clutching, drove 100's of kilometers in it. Also my Suzuki is not fully synchronized.

    Hyundai Pony
    Daihatsu Charade
    Tiger R6
    Audi R8
    Suzuki Swift
    Silhouet Racecar Concept for Volvo
    Tiger Cat E1

and a whole lot more. Estimated total around 80.000 km a year, of which 30.000 in the Suzuki, 15.000 in the C5, 30.000 in the Nissan van and 5000 in all the others.. Still wishing to drive any car with a CVT or DSG.

I would like to never own a stick shift car. I learned on an automatic because my dad thought that'd be easier than he switched me to stick later on. Even the biggest critics of my car can say that the one "cool" feature is that its stick shift.

Cars driven: Lexus LS430, Hyundai Accent, Scion xB, Jeep Wrangler, Dodge Durango, Hyundai Tuson, BMW 3-Series (E30), Saturn SL, Pontiac Bonneville and others I'm sure.

    back on topic:
untill now I only drove manuals, but I am quite confident that an autobox wouldn't be to hard. I did my first heel-toe shift this week , I've got a lot to learn still

I think many here can actually. I can do both anyway. How many here can do a real 180 degree handbrake parking turn ? How many have their "big" license (for lorries / trucks) ?
