    I'm not all that surprised, Porsche make very high quality brakes.

    But from Porsche I would guess the price would be close to Brembo if not more?? Are they as good as Brembo's?

    Is this so normal? I don't know. Is Porsche producing brakes for tuning cars? I always thought that they only make really good sports cars... I'm surprised by the fact that somebody put the brakes of a whole different brand on... If you put on Brembo's, no problem, but these are red Porsche's even with Porsche still written on them...

    brembo=porsche

    i was under the impression that porsche used brembo and just put their name on it... i coudl be wrong, but that woudl take some of the controversy out of this.

    For a long while Porsche has been the bench mark for braking.

    Porsche is known for their brakes, so why not put them on a great car like the BMW.

    They're Brembo's.

    You can buy Porsche 'Big Reds' as they call them, on the internet from maybe a dozen places. They cost about $1500 per set with cross-drilled rotors and pads, brand new in the original Porsche box. I got them to upgrade my 1990 model porsche. I had to buy adaptors, but they were really basic. Any machinist worth his salt should be able to machine an adaptor for any car. The only tricky part is making sure to match the master cylinder to the calipers if it's a non-porsche application.

    Now I only ever use my big toe on the brake pedal as it stops way... way better than I'll ever need.

    The really good Porsche brakes are the yellow 6 piston ones. Whooa!
