That is the cheap one unfortunately, they can go for about £400 !
It's in great nick, no rust... but its worth spending £40 on filler, primer and paints and see what I can bodge up myself.
nice work it'll be nice to see it all patched up..that grey colour looks good as well!
i keep forgetting what a kller insurance is in the UK fuel prices would have been enough, i should think..
Andreas Preuninger, Manager of Porsche High Performance Cars: "Grandmas can use paddles. They aren't challenging."
Thankfully the UK insurance companies are used to classic cars and car clubs and it's easy to get cheaper cover
"A woman without curves is like a road without bends, you might get to your destination quicker but the ride is boring as hell'
Could you elaborate on that Peter? Cheapest ive found is 1500 a year with Swinton on a 3rd party fire and theft, 1650 Fully Comp with Tesco.

Have you got your test booked then Adam? I see it's your 17th in a few weeks

So the collection of bits to help me along the way, but still not got the car.
Feels like ages ago since I bought her!
Forgot to say, now have an aeronautical professional spraybooth to use any time I want (The joys of knowing people who run that certain area), access to powdercoating, welding, any sort of metalwork, and a Capri nutter in Glasgow who's dropping a V8 in one. I think I'm quite sorted for the project ahead.
It's not what you know but it's who you know. Ya lucky stiff.

Got a lovely new toolbox aswell, mainly for work but it'll be staying at home until I officially start.
Mmmm.
So she's still not here, our initial plan was to put the front wheels on basically an a-frame trailer, and just put the back wheels on the road.
Well that's illegal I have found out !!
So now trying to surce a car trailer/flatbed truck. Nightmare.
On the other hand, I have had the opportunity to buy a Prodrive WRC seat out of an old Impreza - tempted to custom-make some mounts ad fit it because the front drivers seat is buggered anyway... we'll see.
1 month on from purcahse...
Bad news - Still no car :
Good news - Found a trailer! Should be here within the next 2 weeks, roll it on!
I was pretty shocked though... I checked insurance for the 280 Brooklands today, which is a 2.8 litre limited edition model... and for anyone living in the UK... imagine insurance for a 17 year olf on a 2.8...
Was pleasently suprised to find out it was only £300 more than the 1.6, at £1700 a year!!!
Must not be tempted..
