    As you can with autos.

    Easier to do with autos... just put it in gear and floor it! (Although when I do it myself, I usually manually shift the transmission.)

    Hate to bring Top gear into this but do you remember the £1500 porsche challenges..the only car not able to do a number 11 was the auto

    No, no. Who cares if the engine was a "V6 and 3/4"..., autos are clearly rubbish as demonstrated by Top Gear...

    It's been a while since an update so here it goes. The rebuilt tranny is in, floors in, carpets, and seat. I blew the trunk lid in and it has SS stripes now. If the car isn't gone by winter, maybe it'll be getting a mild big block for next year.

    The high end stuff probably isn't affected much. The people dropping six and seven digits on a 1 of 15 Hemi car have enough in the bank that the economy and a barrel of oil don't matter. But the market for something that is pretty ordinary, like a 71-72 repainted, small block Chevelle, I'd imagine isn't real great.

    The whole market has gone way down. There are still a lot of cheap cars moving in the market, its just finding the person with the money that is the hard part.

    Good luck selling it but it wouldn't be the worst car to keep . Anyway great job fantastic car

    Don't do that. You want some ground clearance. And they look better at normal height.
