Yeah, German taxis... my Camry had nearly 200,000 miles on the clock, and was still doing good... Toyota huh. Dunno about the BMW though, but I still think you should wait and try to find better deals before jumping on it, while $2,700 is relatively cheap it's not if you 'throw it by the window'... as in the car works for a week then

    BOOM

    NO BMW

I'm thinking $2500 would be more reasonable, especially since the owner seems desperate for some money.

i think for most european cars, especially a 'prestige' brand, your budget is simply too low. it might just end up costing you so much more

I can't settle for less than a European brand.
I don't want Japanese or American trash.

If you buy it for 2,700, you gotta treat that money as throwaway essentially.

Can you afford to throwaway 2,700 dollars?

Can you afford all the other crap?

Do you need a car right away?

I want a car too, but I'm gonna wait a few years to buy one I like and so I can afford it.

I can't wait a few years. And where I live, if you don't have a car, you're pretty much ****ed for things to do.

If everything checks out, I'll offer $2500 and see if the seller takes it.
And yes, I can afford maintenance stuff
