Wasn't our only tank loss in GW1 a friendly fire incident?

the only reason that cannon still works is because it attacks the thin armour on the top of the tank turret and engine bay, although if you think you can maneuvre a tank to a position from which you can hit another one straight into it's top side, be my guest

the entire gun assembly is about the size of a vw beetle. its not really very convenient for mounting on a vehicle. the slightly smaller 20mm version (the same as the CIWS mentioned on like page 3) is mounted on some vehicles. mainly for anti-aircraft duties. if you were going to mount the full size one on a tank, you might as well mount the big gun that they have already. more stopping power and longer range kinda lead you to the larger caliber. just like cars, there no replacement for displacement.

Thanks for the correction! Still haven't found the flyer they gave us with the plane names....
But naturally the Pima Air Museum website covers it.

    Aircraft Collection

Here's a couple more, including another shot of the Fairey next to a Skyraider. Beechcraft Starship sits next to an early version of the French Caravelle. Inside, one of the prettiest fighter/pursuits ever, the Bell King Cobra.
While the idea of a mid-engined fighter was cutting edge, it never lived up to it's potential.

A very interesting place to wander around for an afternoon. A few of the aircraft are mothballed, but most are static displays that would be too costly to make airworthy. Even in the desert these things deteriorate. Some looked pretty rough. The SuperGuppy was wrapped in plastic and rubberized paint and looked beat but we were told it was used only a few years ago.

Should have gotten a closer shot, but it's pretty big and this was the only pic I took showing most of it.
In the forground is an alternate cockpit/nose section. Too bad they didn't also have the drone on display.
Again, this is at the Pima Air Museum.
