old Range Rover (first gen I think) with the 2.5 diesel engine are the best for that.

I guess the best 0-60 is achieved by top-fuel dragsters...
    Everything ends at 666...

    VW 1.8t.

    Nitro-Methane.

Top fuel dragster: 0-60 in 0.5361 seconds
At the 60ft mark(.855 seconds) the dragster was going about 95mph. In 1 second, the dragster will hit about 112 mph.

The acceleration will not be as good as ICE powered car. An ICE is connected to the wheels, whereas the jet can only act on the air.

They usually aren't very fast out of the hole. We have a "Night of Fire" at the dragstrip I work at and we have jet cars every year. I forgot what the exact 60ft times are but they aren't quick at all. They are all top end, I think they get close to 300mph.

turbines dont accellerate well in general. only really happy when operating at a constant speed.

anybody looked into the 0-60 of RC cars. some will do 60, and their power/weight is insane.

Google says ~3 seconds. Insane. It's funny the payout for amateur rc racing is more than amateur drag racing. I was talking to a racer once that was running his rc car during a rain delay, he said the rc racing pays for his drag racing.

    LOL.

Anyway, wouldn't it be like Koenigseggs or Veyrons, or Caterhams or Ariel Atoms? Why would it be GTRs and Corvettes?
