    Hyundai Superbowl Ads

    View these ads.

I think they are pretty good - they point out the NACOTY win, I really like the angry bosses one, and I dig the narration by Jeff Bridges.

Pretty slick ads in my view, and I think it's cool that Hyundai is starting to be taken seriously. The Genesis and Genesis Coupe are pretty cool cars I gotta say - bang for buck they are great. Could both do looking a bit better though, especially the Coupe.

I will comment on this thread Sunday Night after the SB. I know I am probably weird, but I want to be surprised by the Super Bowl ads.

Doesn't releasing ads early defeat the purpose of spending $1 mil for 30 seconds of air time?

I think the ads work, especially for what's happening in the US. It's a good deal if they really mean what they say.

Seriously? You can return it within a year? That is borderline brilliant.

no because the same people will still see it during the superbowl and if you see it both places even better. The only way it might hurt is in the rankings people do b/c it wouldnt seem as fresh. But I bet that's far from their first concern. You get reach (number of different people) by buying a superbowl spot and frequency (avg times a person has seen it) by releasing it early as well. And since it's a superbowl spot it gets posted on blogs and forums such as this one.

The ads aren't bad. I did like the angry boss one. The other one's are good b/c the marketing tactic is good enough to stand on it's own but for the superbowl I bet they could have made them more interesting especially considering how unique that policy is.

    This.
"Kimi, can you improve on your [race] finish?"
"No. My Finnish is fine; I am from Finland. Do you have any water?"

It probably will. Americans are abusing the living shit out of the failed economy, I feel like an idiot who's not taking advantage of the system every time I pay my mortgage, car, and credit cards on time

I can see it all happening...

"Let me buy a brand new Hyundai, beat the shit out of it for one year, return it, and get a new car"

Blame the economy on the government, the war, on policies, on banks, etc.. I blame it on the people, it's disgusting.

I'm not going to turn this thread into an LTSmash finance/economics rant. But I want to say that I agree with the latter of this statement so much. Over-valued people and their damn never ending lines of credit are one of the biggest culprits here. I just hope they did proper analysis on this offer and that it doesn’t bite Hyundai in the long term.
