First feature film shot on a DSLR

Here is the video site, Who is Sonny Basbas?
Full HD (30 MB) at the bottom of the same page.

Written and Directed by Andrew Disney
    Shot by Jeffrey Waldron

SEE THE FULL TRAILER ON APRIL 15th

Searching for Sonny is about three bumbling friends who go back to their high school reunion and get sucked into a small town murder mystery that seems eerily like a play from high school.

We shot a teaser and full trailer with the Canon 5d Mark II. We are planning to shoot the entire film on a DSLR.

    Equipment used
    - Nikon lenses, most of the shots here are 50mm.
    - Kino Gaffer Kit
    - Arri Package, 1K, 650, and an inky
    - Doorway dolly with two sets of 8 foot track
    - One 4x4 frame with opal
    - One 4x4 Black Flag
    - One 3X2 Black Flack
    Interesting yeah?

could be interesting, if it wasn't that the plot sounds death boring (for me).
much more intrigued by the new project of James Cameron tbh.

Yup. Not too sure how to get them though. And why are Nikon lenses so great anyway?

The usual reasons for asking the "will my Brand xxx lenses" fit is that the author has thousands of euros invested in "Brand xxx" lenses

Just can't imagine why you'd want a SLR shape camera for major film production -- other than the potential for sponsorship from the camera manufacturer

However the ability to take the odd video among lost of pics is beneficial.
I carry a video camera and still digital camera to all trackdays/competitions. WOudl be nice to abvoid the pain of swapping over

Here is a short film that was produced with a Canon DSLR:

Really? I thought he shoots with Canon cameras only.

The focusing is the real issue with DSLR video now. I wouldn't mind taking a video or two either. Once they fix that, it'll be great. I have a D40 that takes way better photos than my point and shoot, but the one thing that I enjoy doing is taking videos, which the D40 can't even think about doing but the 5 year old point and shoot can. I could do stop motion though, I guess.
