I like big Merc coupes, they are excellent. But a Merc sportscar doesn't make much sense. At least not until they make a proper one again.

True. The SLR was more of a softroader, but the 722 did fix some of its worst problems.

Maybe... but I still don't like the SLR for the stupid auto slushbox. Then again, I don't know what I supercar I would drive daily.

im in love with last generation SL, not too big of a fan of new facelift though but i guess it's ok.

I used to like the SLK, but right now there are better cars out. When this gen launched in 2005, it was the only hardtop among its rivals, and the 55 was just so much more brutal than say a boxster s or an audi tt. But now the Z4 has a hardtop and I've heard BMW has made it less sporty and more luxurious aiming for the slk not the boxster anymore. I just hope it follows the C-Class and gets a 451 hp 6.2 litre engine. It is possible becuase in 2001 both the C and the SLK got the 32 engine then in 2005 both got the 55, so maybe the next-gen SLK has a 63.
