The R-class is different from the X6 and this. And much better.

Different in that it's a "van" and they are confused crossovers, but still in my mind a pointless vehicle to reward over-privileged soccer moms. It can't decide whether it wants to be a people hauler, a luxury car, or a performance vehicle.

Nope there's a fundamental difference.

The R-Class doesn't have any sort of off roading pretensions or off-roading hardware (except for four wheel drive), so it's a better car altogether and probably a better drive.

Why would you want an off roader that can't go off road and it's compromised on the road? It's pointless because it can't do anything right.
