Well said. The ultimate in that segment being the now discontinued MB R63 AMG.

The R-class is different from the X6 and this. And much better.

Definitely not, my random t-shirts, bed hair, and wtf are you looking at expression would do the job.
Too bad that V8 doesn't roar often when I meet one.

Different in that it's a "van" and they are confused crossovers, but still in my mind a pointless vehicle to reward over-privileged soccer moms. It can't decide whether it wants to be a people hauler, a luxury car, or a performance vehicle.

    the R?
A luxury people hauler, forget the performance, the R63 is just the right engine in the wrong car (wouldn't mind though, just for the sound).

    Nope there's a fundamental difference.

The R-Class doesn't have any sort of off roading pretensions or off-roading hardware (except for four wheel drive), so it's a better car altogether and probably a better drive.

Why would you want an off roader that can't go off road and it's compromised on the road? It's pointless because it can't do anything right.

the R-Class on the other hand may not be perfect but it has a purpose. To be fast, luxury people mover.

    What's LotD?

And yeah, I don't like the direction Honda and Acura has been moving lately.
