    Nissan 370z Vs BMW 135i

Ok, an odd comparison but seeing as there isn't a BMW hardtop Z4i yet, just looking at the stats they are quite evenly matched. Both have DCT/Semi automatic gearboxes. Both have quite controversial styling.

    3.7L V6
    BHP;- 332
    Torque;- 270

    Front Suspension:- Double wishbone
    Rear Suspension:- Multi Link

    3L Twin Turbo straight 6
    BHP;- 330
    Torque:- 295

    Front Suspension:- Double wishbone
    Rear Suspension:- Multi Link

Although prices arent released for the BMW its expected to be around the same as the 370z.

    So, what would you choose?

I haven't driven either (I have driven similar cars to both though) and I haven't seen the BMW yet in person.....But I currently would go with the 370. I like it's looks better, and given how the previous generation was....

i don't really like either... but i do find the BMW ironic for bringing out a twin turbo, I6 RWD coupe, something the japs used to do when they made interesting cars.. would probably be my choice overall.

The Datsun has a conventional 7 speed torque converter auto.

The 335i Coupe is brilliant. Having the same sort of ingredients in a smaller package can only improve the result.

335 vs 370 I would have to think about it... but in this case the 370 would be my choice, the 135 is just not for me.

You can have the Datsun in manual 6 speed with automatic down shift blipping....

I'd take the Datsun, though with track pack with performance brake pad(see newest C&D for the reference...)

not enough smaller or lighter to make sense being also much uglier.

wow this is hard. i like both. i have driven the 135i in convertible form. i admire the synchro rev match of the Z and i love its looks. i also love the fun of the VQ engine. its wild but soo much fun. the BMW is refined. although the 128i is a chicks car, the 135i is just as fast as E46 M3's. it also handles great but something about it doesnt' rub me right. i'm gonna go with the Z

Seen them both in person and pics don't do the 370 much justice, it's really sharp when you're actually lookin at it so that would be my choice.

True, but that's still a conventional manual.

You can't go much smaller with the layout and four seats. Altough they could offer a 135i hatch. On the ugliness I agree, but this may be one of those cars were style couldn't matter much. This is all go and no show.

A small circle split up into blue and white quadrants displayed on various locations throughout the car negates this point.

I would take the 135i but only because of the practicality, I would much prefer a 335i to either.

Nah, debadge it and everyone will think it's a 118d with the stupid M Pack. And then you can start your diet of hot hacthes for breakfast and sportscars for dinner.

Do they make the 118d as a coupe? (Though, strangely BMW have managed to screw up the styling so badly that the hatch it much much better than the coupe.)
