hey there bud..ive bought so many cars over the years. My main sports car would be the skyline. The cheap mileage ones, ive tried a lot from civics to corollas etc.I finally settled on a 1993 Toyota Starlet. Its very economical and they come with around 100hp..they weight 860kgs I believe and they can be modded easily and they handle great!
Heapsa space in the back and seats can be folded down for more, put an engine block in the back, easy!
So try a starlet if you still looking.
Glorious V6 can be had in Australia for cheaper. and RWD also.
Brilliant Handling inclusive? well, it's....entertaining.

Thats kind of the point.
A Ford Falcon or Holden Commodore are old enough to be epically cheap now, they are glorious Straight or V6 engines, and RWD shenanigan handling.
Alfa's work in Europe because they are cheap and relatively plentiful. their fragility is countered by their proximity to parts.
In Australia, under the hot Aussie Sun, it is said you can see an Italian car quietly rusting. Location and isolation create a problem where cars like the 75 are actually rare now, to the point of parts difficulty not only with the technical stuff, but the basics, Like a bumper.
This might be true of all european cars, but I'm looking for something cheap

75 might be more epic (epica? oh dear....) but Commonwhores and Failcons are easier to find. pretty much my point.
As a good for instance there is a MkII Golf going for $7,500 around my parts.
a 1994 Commodore with more trimmings and less KM should only cost you $4,000.

If I wanted a Commodore I'll keep the Volvo
Nah, E30 I think has my heart. they're just so pretty.....

I had a 318i before. Certainly I'd be looking for Moar Power.
and Preferably less than 200,000km. I'm not fussy

So whats the budget, IBR (if I may presume to ask)?
There was what looked like a remarkably clean & original Alfa 75 lurking for many weeks on our local AC listings, about $2k iirc but recently vanished from the site.
Check out the $8k Giulia 1300 GT Junior and $1k Alfa 33 on that same site.. and an optimistically priced tres junk low-km Citroen Xsara.
