The 240RS was produced only 200 units, including 50 right-hand-drive cars, 150 left-hand-drive cars, and 30 works cars, for FIA Gr-B homologation acquisition.
The 240RS is powered by a FJ24 L4 DOHC engine that makes 240 horsepower and 24.0 kg-m of torque. It has achieved a maximum speed of 200km and a power-to-weight ratio of 4.01kg/PS. The engine has adopted forged alloy pistons, a forged alloy crankshaft, a wet sump oil pump, and twin SOLEX 50PHH carburetors. Furthermore, it comes with a 3-2-1 steel exhaust manifold, a light-weight fly wheel, a twin-plate clutch, a F5C71B transmission, a triple joint 64A type reinforced propeller shaft, and 14-inches three piece alloy wheels.
