    Borgward 230 1965-1971

The German brand Borgward ceased to exist in 1961, but two years later, after the death of the founder of the company Karl Borgward, they tried to revive the brand in Mexico. In 1965, the production of Borgward 230 sedans began at the FANASA (Fabrica Nacional de Automoviles SA) plant, which were essentially copies of the original German Borgward P100 model, but, unlike the original, did not have characteristic "fins" on the rear fenders and a panoramic rear window. In 1971, the Borgward brand finally disappeared from the scene.
