If I'm not mistaken, I think this was the car that fell in between the Diablo 6.0 and the Murcielago that only served as the "Next-gen" Diablo.

If Im not mistaken this was the proto for the Murcielago.Originally Posted by F1_Master

But then Audi bought Lamborghini, took a quick look at the nearly road-ready developed Canto and cancelled the car, because of quality problems and it's looks. They then developed at a slightly modified chassis of the Canto and with fresh looks of young designer Luc Donckerwolke the all-known Murciélago.Originally Posted by McLareN

This 6-liter V12 model with its characteristic roof "bumps" was proposed by Zagato and was originally destined to substitute the Diablo. In 1998 the new Audi managment decides to initiate the project of a completely new vehicle and as a consequence Project 147 was suspended. Luc Donckerwolke begins to work on the future Murcielago (2001), which also features four-wheel drive transmission. Only 5 Canto prototypes were made,
Those headlights actually look a lot like a 360 Modena. Maybe that's why they canceled it.
This is fantastic! Have you got anymore photos of it?
I made a 3d model of it a while back, but the blueprints weren't the best and the only reference photos I could find were taken on a potato under horrific lighting conditions and were 240x348 pixels or something.
