There will be apologists for it even if it sucks. Will it? Probably not. However, the 1M really seemed to be something else, and the 2 hasn't exactly set the world on fire. The press may fawn over it too much to get an accurate review.

That's absurd as the car is usefully shorter than the M4. Are we seeing the holes in BMW's 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 ... 987,342, 987,343-Series plan for market coverage? Is this the fallacy of the German's market umbrella strategy? As much as they try to distinguish their cars, economies of scale do not allow them to actually be any different.
