1980s marvels offered in largest car auction ever ...
This weekend, RM Sotheby's will stage the three-day Duemila Ruote sale; the largest ever auction of its kind. All 800+ lots are offered without reserve and from the same, private Italian collection. Included in the auction are automibilia, bikes, motorcycles and over 400 cars. We invite you to browse the lot list and have selected three of the best cars on offer.
A very rare sight is the very last Lancia LC2, which was constructed by Dallara for an Italian privateer racer. It raced at Le Mans and at several other rounds of the 1991 World Championship. Chassis 0009 is a very interesting prospect for the revived Group C championship and is estimated to sell for around 250,000 Euro.
Also included in the sale are low mileage examples of rivals of old, the Ferrari F40 and Porsche 959. Both cars are offered freshly serviced and with less than 30,000 km on the odometer.

If you should see a man walking down a crowded street talking aloud to himself, don't run in the opposite direction, but run towards him, because he's a poet. You have nothing to fear from the poet - but the truth.
