Tdot owns you.
we should be judged by our opinions and not by where we come from. We are all inhabitants of a planet called earth. (at least in English).Originally posted by guyt_x

it is just interesting to see which countries people have what views
When I express views they are mine and not necessarily those of my country. Besides of this I have addressed this issue right here because of your own prejudiced views about one country, (not mine), and although I share some of these views I feel the way you are expressing them is rather counterproductive.Originally posted by guyt_x

if people are embarressed by there country or its actions then I suppose it is better that people dont say what country they are from.
I think it is irrelevant when discussing cars whether you are proud of your country or not.Originally posted by guyt_x

This has absolutely nothing to do with embarassment, it's a simple matter of people minding their own business and not telling others more than they want to.Originally posted by guyt_x

Would it be possible, to play forever?
The conclusion reached was that a player is inevitably doomed to lose.

what track?
what year?
what driver?
what car?
A few years ago (2-3 if I remember correctly), Winston Cup driver Kenny Schrader did a test session at Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama. For fun, they took one of their normal motors, and not one using a restrictor plate, and ran a few test laps around the 2.66 mile oval. His best lap averaged 233.something mph, or 382kph. Not bad for a 3500lb car with only a 4 speed gearbox.
If I´m not wrong, Gil de Ferran´s speed world record is 389 km/h average speed at fontana in 2000 when he was CART Series champion...
the top speed in that lap should be more than 410 km/h... I think...

The fastest recorded formula 1 car was the BAR Honda 007 which was specially set up to race at Boneville salt flats but before they went there they reached 400km/h at Mojave air base in Nevada. That is the highest speed reorded by any F1 car. I think the highest speed on any race track was at Lemans and the Jaguar XJR9 at the hands of either Andy Wallace or Martin Brundell at 400km/h.Originally Posted by DasModell

Just under ten seconds, just call it nine point five in round figures! : Murray Walker.
I think the fastest speed recorded at an actual F1 race weekend (discarding the BAR effort where the car was clearly specifically designed for the job) was at Monza this year where Juan Pablo Montoya hit something like 367km/h on the way down to the Parabolica in Saturday practice, IIRC.
Doubt it'll get beaten for a good long while now though with the switch to v8 engines, unless they just take off the wings altogether.
