I also have NFSU2 on PC, i got it a few days ago infact.

I was shocked it's a difference you can see the extra $$$ Spent on the PC when watching it on PS2
Unless a game has been dumbed down for the PC, or a dodgy port, then the PC version of a console game will look better, mainly because U can have way higher resolutions with a PC, only 640x480 with a TV, and PC hardware is undeniably more powerful than console hardware, so u can have more eye candy in the game

I'm not big on game comsoles

Personally i think theres no real point in trying to better the car graphics of GT3, they were absolutely great and its going to take the PS3 to really take another big step to top it again, im hoping the main focus of GT4 is more cars, more tracks, more parts.....Everyone's been bragging that Forza and PGR2 have supposed "more" lifelike racing, more opponents, actual damage (although its been said alot of manufacturers paid GT3/4 NOT to have damage so the cars always looked good)....i could ramble on about all the stupid little things people thinkg Forza and PGR2 will have thats better than GT4, but at the end of the day its only a pissy little difference that has no bearing on how i play GT and its definately not enough to make me want to get an Xbox. Plus i couldnt be f**ked trying to learn how to use the Xbox controller, ive had both the PSX and PS2 so im more than used to the dpad, twin joysticks, X square triangle O and L1 L2 R1 R2.....
PGR2 hardly has real life damage, but it definately has much better graphics, especially in the background, however i rkn "Race Driver" is still the best at simulating real life racing. PGR2 has online play, and there have been booster packs released that come with more cars, like u can use a C6 corvette now, even though PGR2 came out in 2003

Ive played the original Race Driver and that was far from lifelike. The amount of rear wheel lockup coming off Mountain Straight into the cutting is ridiculous, as is the same thing coming into the first hairpin at Phillip Island. I declined buying the second one cause IMO it was hardly a $99 increase over the original, which was STILL what they were charging for it. I managed to pick up WRC4 for half of that and havent looked back

I rkn you should get 2, as there are like 25 classes or so, and the cars behave differently than Race Driver, though like the first one, Bathurst looks like they modeled it off an in car video, which doesnt justify the steepness etc if u actually go around it in real life

    Off topic again guys?

This was about real things. And yes historics are much more fun (and less competitive) than present day races. Just wait five years and the current V8's will become historics.

They had that in the first one as well, it was just crazy coming down the dam thing, you either got sandwiched between the concrete walls and high camber on the inside or bounced off the side and Skyline was like a gentle descent rather than a rapid drop. Still, wont be buying it as long as they keep it at $99. I'd sooner buy GT4 or Tekken5 when it comes out. GTA:SA was only $80 when new afterall

In the Aussies forums it is completely ON topic to say that a thread has gone OFF topic. It's the rule rather than the exception
