I'm a BMW kinda guy, always have been and always will be. I dont like the Mercs styling, the whole range looks the same and you get so bored of seeing them on the road. The new SLR is a poor excuse for a supercar and shouldve been left totally to Mclaren instead of having it look like an SL500. Id rather have an M3 or an M5 anyday.

Mclaren basically got given a SL and turned it in to the Slr.....(in a way a tuned SL55 Amg)

im a benz man,i think all bangles designs suck,theyre just too ugly,the new 3-series(E90) new 5-series(E60) E65 7 series 1-series ,6 series,etc
man they just look strange,he even didnt look at old bimmers when he was designing the new bmws....

The original question was "what would you rather have? a BMW or Mercedes?"
I don't think it is fair to allow only those who like Mercedes to respond.

Personally I don't have a persuasion towards either.
I'm not a huge fan of either marque's current range.

However both companies have produced some note worthy cars in the past.
BMW M5 E34, E39, E60, original CSL, M1, the V12 engine from the McLaren F1
Mercedes 190E Cosworth, CLK GTR, original SLR, W196, DTM racers etc.

YES Very Ugly looking car's Yukk BMW are maing shit car's now The MB are making Great car's. there styles are FANTASTIC.
