I totally disagree... the Monaro is waaay too bland to be a GTO. The Pontiac was always known to be aggressive looking and badass. The Monaro on the other hand is a clean coupe with graceful curves. Not to say that the Holden is bad looking, but rather that it's certainly not what everyone expects how a GTO should look.

I agree, now lets hope that the power and performance match the looks. Otherwise, it'll be a case of factory rice.

    i love it... nuff said...

lol no really i like it but ill tell you right now some of the things that probly wont make production:
    1. the rims, way to flashy for this level of a car probly will be smaller with higher profile tires as well
    2. rear wheel width, to wide for a mid level sports car of this performance(which i suspect if it is to be uprated for it to be in the 10-15hp range, not much more)
    3. rear fenders will most likely be scaled down as well along with more subdued brake vents(doesnt look like their very functional anyway...)
    3. the nascar-ish rear spoiler might make it
    4. front airdam/bumber seems too agressive, might be tamed a bit
    5. the front and side lip spoilers will either be subdued or eliminated completly

dont get me wrong i love it but i doubt it will make production in this flashy of a form. i mean look at the camaro... but *crosses fingers* mabe they will go overboard the way of the CTS-V and just be like "the hell with it", throw in a LS6 and, tune the suspention. i doubt they'll do this as it might take away fromt their nice new C6 sales a guy can dream tho...

The Monaro comes to Qatar through Chevrolet. Its called the Chevrolet Lumina SS Coupe.... the Commodore YY comes as the Chevrolet Lumina SS. These are very common cars here but I have seen twon Lumina SS Coupes (Monaro) with scoops on the bonnet. As far as I know... the stock car doesnt have these scoops so they must be custom... however they have done a very good job on them. Here are a few pics a frend of mine took of one. Tell me what u all think...

I hope GM decides to sell the GTO in Mexico (since I just moved here), I don't care what name they call it. Does anyone know if they will???

Maybe the design wasn't meant to be a GTO in the first place.

If it was too bland, maybe GM should have created another coupe on the same platform.

I still stand behind my Subtlety over Flashy mentality.

But then again, i hated the HSV version of this car.....
