They are out there selling the "company" as much as anyone else.

I reckon the question is actually a lot harder than perhaps it seems. It seems the majority would like a job in motorsport or the car industry, because cars are their favourite past time, but I don't think it would be as great as you might think.

I always thought the best job ever would be a computer games tester, cos they get paid to sit and play games all day. Sounds great. But they don't get to play the games like we do. they have to do crappy things like trying to find bugs by saving the game in every place possible or trying to do things that would cause the game to crash. I think if you spent all your hobby time with cars and all your working time with cars, it would lose its attraction after a while.

I have to say that I really love my job. I work in construction, certainly not the most glamourous career going, but I think it's pretty underrated. I get to spend plenty of time outdoors in the summer, I can retreat to the nice heated office and do paperwork when it's cold. I get to meet all manner of weird and wonderful people, the diversity in construction is incredible. Since I work on and around site and sites only take a finite time to build, I also get to change scenery at least a few times a year. I'm by no means saying my job is perfect (give me a 1,000% payrise, shorter hours and get rid of the little dictators I have to deal with occasionally and we're getting there though) and that it's my dream job, I just think it's better to have a job that you can enjoy and a hobby you can enjoy seperately...

And my actual dream job, after all that? I'm not really sure, but a significant earner is reasonable presumable. I wouldn't want fame in any way, shape or form. I'd hate to have my privacy violated and be followed around like celebritys do. Not my cup of tea by half. I suppose I'd be a partner in a company that produces something that really benefits the world. I know it sounds horribly cliched and tacky, but I really think that knowing that you have in some way done something that has furthered humanity in some way would be more satisfying than any amount of supercars driving. Maybe some kinda of drug company or something like that.

My dream job is to be a Pennsylvania Turnpike toll booth operator. All you have to do is to sit in a booth and about every 15 seconds somebody hands you a ticket and some money to pay for the toll. About one in every 10 people might need change so getting their change is about the hardest thing you do. And you get paid over $18.00 an hour! And being a state job you probably get every perk in the book.

Being a public servant isnt all its cracked up to be. believe me, you need to be in a relatively high posi just to drive the govi cars or actually need to use them on a frequent basis. like the people who go out to schools everyday but if i need to go somewhere then i have to use my own car.
