    Cameras Above Street Lights ?

I've been noticing that construction workers are starting to put cameras above the stree lights and wanted to know if anybody know what those are used for and if they are there just to see people who run red lights or to see if someone is speeding or what. So if anyone knows, post and tell me what reason they have

Coudl be, but they look to be setup to view away from the actual junction, so unliekly red light checks.

I think they may jsut be for congestion control.

UK has lots of these to centralise intelligent control during rush hour and 'incidents'.
Latest ones include registration plate checking and automatic congestion control of carss entering motorways and junctions.
    Could be pretty much anything

    They can be.
The law in UK used to protect us as when cameras like this went up in Glasgow nearly 25 years ago there was a furoray. Thankfully back then Scottish law required the DRIVER to be identified No longer the case
So be careful just in case.

Here in uae we have a lot of speed cams . Worst is they're all hidden . They can even check ur speed. And now new ones are comin out. They're attached to very high poles and look down to the junctions.

Vancouver has been having these speed cameras since 02. After these cameras. Everyone is all scared of going for the red light. The fine is around 100-150 dollars CND
