Why not go for a used Skyline? It's already absorbed a lot of teh depreciation, probably has the basic mods on it already, and is far more affordable. Makes sense to me.

[QUOTE=Falcon500]Personallyim all for real estate...im thinking of getting a decent flat and then packing everysingle person i can into it...The plan i was told (and it sounds viable) Buy a place make your payments and have roomates charge them board the cost shared between 3 and in a couple of years your owning a flat...and then you keepthe tennats and move on....like anything sounds good on paper might not work in real life....im considering it as an option...[QUOTE]

this does work. my dad owns a real estate office, i'm buying my first house in january. after two years of renting it out (i'm gonna stay at home), i'm reselling it to pay back the loan, and using whatever profit i made to get another loan and so forth until i actually own a house

i am, the area where i am buying is building up value at a ridiculus pace... like $100,000AUD every 18 months because of investors from sydney. even if the market calms down, there will be a profit + whatever money from the renters. additionally i'm going to be working on the house to improve it. i might actually sell it after 16 months because 12 months is the minimum time before u can re-sell (otherwise u get severe stamp duty taxes).
