#1 Successor of Z3 was introduced at the Paris Auto Show in late 2002.
#2 Z4's radical looks were designed by Danish BMW-designer Anders Warming.
#3 I personally think the design has aged very well.
#4 Classic BMW straight-6 engines were the strong point of Z4.
#5 On the other hand, numb electrically assisted power steering and overly harsh ride were much criticized.
#6 Price wise, Z4 was marketed head-on against Porsche Boxster and Mercedes-Benz SLK
#7 In late 2005, Z4 received a subtle facelift with updated engines.
#8 All BMW Z4s were assembled at BMW's USA plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
#9 Between 2002 and 2008, 180,856 roadsters were produced.
I think this was the best interpretation of the Bangle Butt styling era of BMWs.
The worst part about the Z4 though is that I feel like all of them came in gray, or silver I never see them in any other color. It's so boring.
Maybe it is because all the brochures and other promotional materials pictured Z4 only in silver? Or maybe it is because Z4 is a German car, therefore it must have staid color scheme?
While it is true that Z4 had 8 different shades of gray to choose from, there were also other, and pretty funky colors available.
