here's the deal, my dad has to travel by an airplane for business trips almost every week, so he drives the Lemon caravan to teh airport and me and my mom use the Escort (the car that's reliable) and, well, he we about to pull out of the "Qwik Park" when there was heavy hesitation and the car was about to die, but then he heard a bang that sounded like backfire (cool, the lemon's only 7 years old and it's already in the same running condition of Uncle Bucks car) and it was rolling. He thought that some of teh hesitation had to do with a sitcking caliper. Well today, he was driving it up to Belle Tire to get the brakes checked, and they said the brakes were just fine, so he headed home, and the check engine light came on, he thinks it might have to do with the backfire last night. We both thing it is a cylander misfire, and it will need new wires and plugs if it is, but I wanted to run it by you guys.
BTW, There is only hesitation and backfire if the car is parked for more than a day, if it is only parked overnight, then it will get up and go without hesitation and backfire.
