I think I will go with the Lotus Elise. I love this car so much. I want to be able to get one out of college but I doubt that will happen.

Esperante, how do you know if Zytek_Fan can or will be able to afford a DB9 or not? As cars go they are not that expensive, and if he really wants it I'm sure he can find a way to pay for one.Originally Posted by Esperante
To my mind if the price is lower than the wealth of the richest person and how much they are able to borrow then it is affordable. At this point the sanity of the purchase may be questioned, but at any price point lower than this it is affordable.

No Mr. Craig, I expect you to die! On the inside. Of heartbreak. You emo bitch
If I want to go cheap I'll go buy a Lotus Elise 111R in Canada
Why do I think that? Well, the title iplies 'affordable for the common person,' and typically I envision affordability not requiring drastic measures to afford. If one would have to go out of his way to afford a car and make some serious changes to his economics, is that car really affordable? Typically, I wouldn't think of the average American being able to pop out $170 grand for a car. I'm not doubting that he can't afford it, there is a small handful of upper-crusters here, but when I think of modern Aston Matin being thought of as affordable, I get confused.Originally Posted by Cyco

well like that exept less complicated
this is a car that oneday, doesnt havve to be soon, you, with dropping car prices and used or new car dealers, will be able to afford.
example: used Porsche 911 Turbo (996)-20,000 miles, 78K www.eeeoftysons.com
used car, high milage, cheaper car

So, you're saying, that if someone asked you a place where you could live on the dime you'd say 'Beverly Hills' because in 40 years you might afford it? That's a bit over-analyzing the question.Originally Posted by Zondaboy1
