    My Classics enjoying the sun.

At last I got some time and some fine weather to clean out my garages so it was out with all my classics so that they would not get covered in dust.

It has been a hard winter on my classics so far as even though they are always garaged they have had to remain indoors and unused for long periods during the severe and prolonged wet spells we have been getting here.

They don't like to be neglected and bite back in the place it really hurts (my wallet) if they are.

Well my Scirocco is my most recent addition to my fleet (replaced my Daimler which was sold on the same day i bought it)

I always wanted one of these and I thought I would never get one as they are quite difficult to get. I never liked the Mk II Scirocco.

This one is in need of some TLC to get it back in tip top form and I know it will give me great pleasure doing just that.
This one has amazingly low mileage ~ I know that may not be accurate but its not such an important factor anyway.
The main thing is that the car is the 'Storm' version and is totally original bar that horrible rear thing on the back - which its seems are highly sought after.
Might sell it on Ebay - its only fixed on with clips so its not a big job to remove.
I think I will get rid of that brown colour and paint it a nice light metallic gold.

    The ebay link.

I went to the UK to collect said vehikle on my transporter last week.

Here are the pics of the homecoming.

    Scirroco arrived home safely.

My new ratchet things worked a treat.

Rocco waits for the VRT (import tax) examination before being unloaded.

She looks good (from a distance)

    Yep – it’s a STORM alright.

Isn’t that the coolest front on any car (bar an Alfa)

My Caddy and its Sat Nav performed brilliantly as usual.

Do you by any chance have a wife? If yes, can I have her? Excellent collection and especially loving the TR.

Oh - and are you intending on removing the "horrible thing" (rear slats) from the Scirocco?
