That sounds freaky. Does the same happen for old MR2's also?
I'll keep that in mind when I drive.

Yes. It's true of most, if not all mid-engined cars, but IIRC the MR2s were quite bad. The Mazda 3 is quite good for a bit lift-off oversteerOriginally Posted by NSXType-R
Now I've never driven a mini but having said that I have to ask this question... How does this car with reportedly good tight handling get unsettled at such low speeds? And why do I, in my supposedly terrible handling overweight american car have to take ramps like those at ungodly speeds to even approach the limits of grip? How fast are you talking about going? I feel comfortable taking ramps at 40-50 mph over the advisory limits, which is about 25 mph over the legal limit, and whether you're a good driver or not it seems to me like merging at that speed is a bit reckless. I've never quite understood people's claims of exploring the limits of there handling on on/off ramps.Originally Posted by cmcpokey
Wow, thats quite the crash. The guys on the scooter were quite lucky. Had they been a couple seconds faster and they would've got nailed.

Oops?. It's not like I'm a moron, not seeing a subtle white sign doesn't mean that I'm not fully aware of what's going on in the environment around me. On top of that, being examined made me slightly nervous, so I was concentrating on keeping my speed down and checking my mirrors every so often to show her that I was weary of my surroundings. It was bad timing is all.
