I'll be saving my money for Forza 2. I don't believe this 10K car roster BS. Especially considering that I'll have no interest in driving nearly 90% of the cars on that list. Gran Tourismo needs to evolve. It's just more of the same, and the shoddy driving AI, lack of car customization, and lack of damage modeling is making it obsolete.
Then factor in that I have no interest in picking up a PS3, and it makes thinking about GT5 even less relevant.
IMO, that's too much cars. i mean, Forza is absolutely amazing with only 310 cars or something like that, so 10k is a bit over the lim'! Even 1k cars would be enough to satisfy even the most die hard computer racing fan! In conclusion, i call B.S on 10k cars.
May the downforce be with you
I'm pretty sure car damage will be in GT5.

even with blue ray discs wouldn't 10 thousand cars take up too much space? lol
what a joke!
UCP's NO. 1 Source for Enzo & 69 Camaro pic's
Fixed.
10k cars does seem to be a bit ridiculous, but I bet it could be done with future BDs.
Furthermore TDK announced in August 2006 that they have created a working experimental Blu-ray Disc capable of holding 200 GB of data on a single side, using six 33 GB data layers.

Ok, so I just read that in GT5 players will be able to drive on the Top Gear track, as well as viewing 40 episodes of the show.
That would mean you could be your own 'Star in a Reasonably Priced Car'. Sounds fun to me

Top Gear on the Vandenbrink Carver One
Yep, the TG track is quite jawsome.
Now if the Stig is in GT5 as well.

A thousand pardons for resurrecting this thread, but the list did, initially, have me going. I'll be honest, the obscurity of a lot of those cars made it seem genuine. Whoever made up that list, if it is indeed made up, either did a TON of research or knows more about cars than God intended one person to know
I think if somebody has enough time to type up a list of 10k cars and spread it around the internet, they would have enough time to research some rare cars. I would say the obscurity of some of those cars would make it ungenuine. Why would polyphony digital include these cars?
Besides hasn't it been proven already that this is just a wish-list?
