What is the fastest European car?
If you are talking about fastest speed anyone has gone in it it's the Mclaren F1 because one person went 241mph in it. If you are talking about fastest estimated top speed then it's the Buggati 16-4 Veyron because it's estimated top speed is 252mph. Be more specific!Originally Posted by fhsviper8
now I remember it is the Mclaren F1 thanksOriginally Posted by carlover
Someone should take the Bugatti past 241MPH now that would be PIMP.
It must be the Mercedes-Benz W125 Record, 268.7 mph.

The fastest was dauer 962 le mans - top speed is said to be 250 mph, but it later reached 253mph
What do you mean "car"?
Thrust SSC is also from Europe...
It's amazing how a car built in the 1930s can go faster than any other car today.Originally Posted by EvilPaladin

the w125 was build for speed .. it was not a road car
There is no terrible way of winning
there is just winning
Yeah Dydzi is right, the Mclaren was never the fastest car. The Dauer was released before it and hit that speed before the Mclaren
Just remember that the F1 was a full on production car, wheras, the 962 Le Mans were converted race cars.
Just look on Auto Union Type C and NSU cars (They are both subsidiary companies of Audi-Auto union)Originally Posted by carlover

The Auto Union racing cars were high-tech products in their time. They stood for supreme achievements in motor-vehicle construction that concentrated above all on high-performance engines, aerodynamic design and the systematic use of lightweight construction. The Auto Union car with streamlined fairing and an output of 545 horsepower was the first to exceed a speed of 400 km/h on a normal road.
This is AUDI power my men. Racing since 1915...
When Mercedes was trying to catch auto union the company was paying Ferinard porsche to make engine for these MONSTERS
