The Cannonball Run: What Weapon Would You Choose?

We've all seen the movie, Cannonball Run, but there is a whole load of truth behind the plot. The NYC to L.A. race is a real record mad car enthusiasts try to beat every year. There's a lot more to it than just fast cars, such as electronic devices and modified fuel cells, but even then the chances of coming close to the record are slim.

I'm a big fan and recently wrote a piece about the history of the run and the car I'd choose for the epic journey, so my question is as the title reads: What weapon would you choose?

Again?, I had sincerely hoped that after you had received some comments regarding the best car to outrun the cops, you might have grown up. And now you publish another juvenile piece of crap. The Cannonball run serves no purpose other than to create dangers on the road. Calling a car a weapon says it all IMHO.

Not that I'd be interested in participating but IMHO my 1973 2.7 RS could certainly hold its own.

sure, but there are far more interesting events for which your car is eligible.

My weapon for the Cannonball? That would have to be a cannon. I'd use it to blow all the entrant cars before they even turn a wheel.
Money can't buy you friends, but you do get a better class of enemy.
