The rear looks mini Touareg, which depending on what you think about the Touareg is either good or bad.

bad, there isn't another possibility...the only way I could like a Touareg, or other SUVs, is towing a classic/racing car to some event

Looks like the times of the huge grilles and headlights taking half a bonnet have gone. I'd buy one, it's clean and even sporty.

That's what it is. If you are the best selling brand in Europe you don't go around making experiments.

And concerning the 147, the original was better than the facelift. And now it's seriously outdated.

in this case they shouldn't call it "MkVI", and imo the MkV wasn't so good to be just restyled. even if I think this is exactly what the Golf's common buyer is looking for: a standard non-pretentious hatch.

that's your opinion, as mine is that is the better looking of its segment even today, interior a part.

the problem is, that's not a winning formula. Golf V was certainly a looser, and a new golf GTI will be almost identical to scirocco...

I happen to think the V was a decent model - it certainly is selling gangbusters in here in Australia.

the VI is a stopgap model until the entirely new one comes out sometime in 2011/2012, they expect.

In Europe it's still one of the most selling cars, if not the best seller.. Audi did the same with B6 and B7 A4's. Porsche has done it with the 996 and 997. Ferrari did it with the 360 and 430...
