    From Jalopnik:
    The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupé

    I wouldn't mind hi-res images.
sooner or later they will be posted in the hide-out, so it's quite silly two have two separated threads of the same car, and it happens all the time with new cars (no offense at you teatako, just saying).
so I won't comment for the moment. but I like it, and a Cx of 0.24 is excellent.

So does this replace the CLK, or does it slot between the CLK and the CL coupes?

Can't wait for the AMG version. With a manual, of course.

I believe this does replace the CLK, altough the CLK was more of a C-Class Coupé. Perhaps eventually they'll launch a C-Class Coupé stand alone model.

It's a replacement for the CLK.

I like it. Even though there's a hint of Lincoln MKZ over the taillights, and the headlights make it look like a facelift pulled back too tight (cough).

    (Edit: Dang! Too slow.)

They did the old W203 Sportscoupe, but I don't think it did too well. There's also suppoedly a new W204 Sportscoupe due out. If it hasn't been cancelled.

But this was (is) more like C-Class hatch, isn't it? It's a cheap way for Daimler to compete with the A3 and 1er. In fact the current model still is on the old W203 chasis, unlike the other C-Class variants.

That's true, it's more of a hatchback, but was marketed by MB as a coupe to the young crowd. Unfortunately, it was just too expensive. If I remember correctly they only sold 50'ish in the Northern American market, and because of that it was subsequently pulled.

There's been quite a few spy shots of the W204 Sportscoupe going back as early as ultimo 2007 but I haven't kept up with the development.

    Maybe you refer to this?

It's already on sale, looks similar to the W204, but is in fact based on the old W203 chasis.

Right, now I know where I dropped the ball. Thanks Ferrer!

Merc. spun off the C-class Sportscoupe, outfitted it with the W204 front, and renamed it CLC back in '08.

Wow, I expected this E Class Coupe to be larger than the CLK, smaller than the CL, with the CLK being updated later. I guess not.

Yeah, there is a C Class coupe already, it has that weird Toyota Prius abbreviated tail greenhouse thing. I thought they were still producing that car?
