    Aston's Group C racing was killed by Ford with their purchase of the company.

    They had also recently bought Jag who was doing quite well there, and no need to have two small loss-making British companies on your books racing each other.

    It amuses me that Aston Martin would have 'Skoda' appear on the side of their racing car. Not that I have anything against Skoda, its just very... chalk and cheese.

    It isn't Skoda - car factory owned by VW. It's different company from machinery industry, altough I think they have some common roots...

    the cars are largely financed by Antonin Charouz. He is Czech, so that might explain the word "Skoda"....
