its a Gibson ES-135 with a bigsby on it. the nuanced observer will note that Bigsbys never came on a Gibson. but this was was professionally installed early in it's life, and is damn near flawless. it plays fantastic, and it wasn't even ungodly expensive. it wasn't cheap, but i paid less than it is probably worth.
Nice guitar dude. Who's the jackass that's modeling it though?

the latest component to be added to the pile for my ongoing new i7 system project

x3 new continental premium tyres. one because of a puncture, the other because of a pot hole causing an imminent blow-out, and the 3rd because it was simply perished. £100 a pop. great..

    Solar Array

Installed late last month, now operating with the return meter. The roof attachment system exceeds hurricane requirements,
everything is anodized aluminum and stainless. Got huge tax and cash incentives, so this setup will pay for itself in about 4 years.
Making about 30% more electricity than we use... selling power back to the grid!

is that constructed on ground level? So you have 30% spare, did you already calculate the number of Priuses that you can run with that?

that is fantastic. we thought about putting a few of them up on our very low electricity use house, but the payoff time was huge because we use so little electricity. next house maybe.

Don't Priuses run on smugness? Or something else, like from the South Park episode... We're just off-setting the emissions from our small fleet of old cars, which is the ultimate recycling effort. Would consider a proper plug-in for commuting, though. Waiting for the Aptera...

We would have liked to capture our excess but Lithium batteries are really expensive and the tech isn't quite there yet. Lead-acid are
what our friends use in the Bahamas, but it would take a large bank we don't have space for. Besides, who wants to service acid batteries? Our nightime use is more than offset by daytime production so would only be of any benefit when we get smacked by a hurricane and lose power for who knows how long. We're installing an LNG generator for that inevitability.

Over the past two years I've updated everything from the AC (21.5 SEER) to lighting (nearly all LED) and converted the AC & pool systems to 220v so our power use is half what it used to be. Adding this PV array made us a net producer @ 7.5kWh... pretty damn cool.

I thought California was pretty good with incentives for alternative energy. Have the state's finance issues reduced that? Even though where you live doesn't require the AC load we southerners expect I'd think your power needs could be easily produced by PVs. The Fed tax break alone ($25K) should cover it.

We had federal incentives here for this sort of thing, but they canned it for being too popular.
