Sorry if I cannot express myself correctly, but I don't know English as good as I want, so my answers will probably be the same in many cases.

    I preferred the LM.

Mclaren has always been my dream car and will do so for the restof my life. For someone who don't fancy toys, collections, stamps or whatever 'pointless' stuffs, I have a 1:18 Mclaren F1.

It came from the issue of the Japanese magazine "Rosso" that featured 4 McLarens. The shot was right inside the cover. That image was scanned by minimagic from SC.net/FChat/AF.com and I recently posted it on SC.net in a separate thread so it has started "making the rounds".

Master - Any chance of you sharing your low res pics somewhere? Even just emailing them to me would be nice - [email protected]

    = = = = = =

I am not familiar with what the mandatory minimum res is in the Hideout, so my apologies if this is too small, but here's a shot of all three F1 GTs together at the factory when they were being constructed. The one closest to the camera is the green prototype - 56XPGT - in the middle is the burgundy GT from Japan - 58F1GT - and third in line is the black one that went to Brunei (and is probably still there) - 54F1GT. The shot is a little grainy because it was created from a rather small image found in "Driving Ambition" but it's still a decent pic and probably the only time the three will ever be seen together.

This thread needs a few more images too!

Also, I don't quite get the purpose of the numbering system here, but I guess after my last post this would be McLaren F1 GT #6

...and Master, I glazed over the comment that you had lost your pics before my last reply. That's a terrible shame for both you and for me.

A few more taken by our friend Roger from Germany. He took these first three at Hockenheim in 1997, again of the green GT prototype. He's seen several F1s over the years and many of his other pics grace the 'F1 Road Car' thread here in the Hideout.

The fourth pic was made from a screengrab of the Martin Brundle's Supercars video when he toured the McLaren Technology Center to check out the upcoming McLaren SLR. Also in that segment of the video you will see XP1 LM (the LM prototype) and chassis #065 that was a fixture in the F1 showroom on Park Lane in London for so many years. You can find that video on Google Video last time I checked - the silver car that Brundle actually drives is #023, at the time owned by Sir Jackie Stewart's son, Paul.

The final pic in this set is of the prototype again, though it is hard to tell it is green. This shot was taken when the car was being unloaded for Colin Curwood's F1 GT brochure photoshoot in the western highlands of Scotland. I happen to own a copy of the brochure - it's rather cool! One interesting thing about this shot (and some of the other images seen in the brochure) is you can see that the green GT originally had a red interior - ACK!! I am not certain who's idea that was, but there are only a few pics of the car showing it, so the mandate to have it refitted with the tan interior must have ocurred rather swiftly.

They're on the other computer which is experiencing a stuck-in-reboot cycle, but I'll try to find them.
