He could score goals alone, not needing a team supporting him. So i vote for Maradona.

Pele is the undisputed king of soccer. no one should vote for maradona and his "hand of god"

The hand of god was not a ligitimate goal since Maradona used his hand to score, so it can't be considered the best goal of all time.

I've seen many Pelé videos where he just makes total fools out of the defence
, his skill was amazing!! Maradona had great goals too, but nothing like Pelé.

Pelé is the king...long live the KING!!!

keeping this conversation strictly limited to soccer talent and performance, i would have to vote for Diego Armando Maradonna. the way i see it, he was competing at a much more intense period of soccer full of great players and teams. i kinda feel that the 80s game has somewhat changed the whole sport. u watch pre-80s soccer and it somehow feels different. slower and less focused on technique, strength, stamina, speed and much more influenced by individual talents. and that is the main reason why Pele was able to really shine, and yes i do acknowledge that he is a GREAT player regardless of what era he played in. but i kinda think that if Pele was playing in today's world he wouldnt of been regarded so highly. the perfect example of comparing today's soccer with that of the 50s and 60s would have to be the free kicks.
