    MP,

Maybe I missed some stuff but is this a 5.3 or a 6.0 truck. I would try to find a set of used heads and a LS1 cam to throw at that sucker plus an exhaust to make it sound good. Make sure if you lift it to find a nice tire that is off road capable but not a hell of alot of road noise. Try to get a yukon denali front grill for it too. If you really would like to go extreme contact Texas Speed and Sound and get there MS4 cam.

    Good luck with the truck,

it's the 5300 Vortec. I didn't even think about cams... hmm... link?

I already have a Flowmaster Super 40 dual rear exit picked out, just need the money.

I'm thinking my order will be something like:
-Wheels/Tires (hoping to find some used ones since new they'll be around $900, hopefully about $400 used)
    -Leveling Kit ($225)
-Flowmaster Super 40 Dual Exhaust ($550)
    -Bumper/Mirrors Painted Black ($350)

so as you can see it's a lot of money, so it'll take me a few months, but so worth it...

EDIT: What exactly will the LS1 camshaft do for the performance?

Colin- the eBay guy said the reserve on those wheels is $500 and he can arrange shipping. If you want, I can try to bring him down a bit.

Nah, thanks though sam, I have like $450 right now in my bank, and I said that I would just never go below that and that everything I buy has to come from money I've earned on top of that.

    Thanks though.

If your ECU and injectors can cope, increase power and torque. In the more likely event that they can't, it'll run lean and lumpy.

It should come close to Corvette levels of power. Injectors shouldn't be too expensive, infact they might just cope unless you want massive power. The ECU should be re-mapped on a rolling road to make the most of it. A Corvette one probably won't just plug in and will be a nightmare to get it working.

Corvette power as in 400hp?!? (insert drool smiley) the camshaft is only like $300!!! I wonder how much for the ecu to be remapped.

Only problem is I'll never get that power to the ground, since I can almost burn out in the dry as is...

Well I have decided to change directions and spend all of my money on stereo system upgrades. I'm going to gradually replace all my existing stuff with better alpine components.

    -Alpine Type-R 12" Subwoofer (cousin has these...amazing.)
-2nd amp like the one I have, so I'll have 450W on each sub.
    -Alpine CDA-9883 Head unit

Also, got my window tint done today, 20%.

I think enough has already been said about darkening windows in relation to traffic safety...

being not only a car driver but also a cyclist and a pedestrian I consider it to be of prime importance to be able to make eye contact with car drivers in order to verify whether they also have spotted me in case there are some priority issues....

Although I am not a cyclist and usually only a pedestrian at night when walking home from a night of fun/drinking, what Henk says is definitely true.

Seeing the driver and making eye contact from car to car is incredibly important in some situations. When I drive, half the time the other driver will wave me on if I want to make a left turn at a stop-sign during the day, or the contact could be used to determine right of way. It could be done with a flash of the lights, but seeing the other driver is much safer and far more reassuring.
