    Caparo and Freestream?

I was just browsing Fast Autos tonight when I noticed a company called Freestream. When I checked, it was the same thing as the Caparo!

So, which company is actually building the "fastest" car?
The only difference I can find is the Freestream isn't supercharged, and is a 2006.

They're the exact same car. The brand is Caparo, the model is Freestream T1, so there you have Caparo Freestream T1. Fast-autos.net must be smoking something......

It won't be the fastest car, but it will be the quickest.

It has amazing cornering and F1 inspired super aggressive looks. I can't wait! But I can't believe it's street legal!

It is the same car indeed, but it was initially called Freestream T1. But then, they got some financial backing from a company called Caparo, so they re-branded the product to Caparo T1. But the change in name is actually before the product reached production, so it is not an important change.

A few old McLaren engineers desgined the car which they called the T1, and they called themselves Freestream. And Caparo which is a racing team had the money to turn the concept into reality which Freestream hadn't. In other words, Caparo bought Freestream so the car is now called Caparo T1.

And it's said to be able to do the ring in under 7 minutes and do 38mpg

The reason I think F-A has pages and info for both brands is the uncertanty of what is actually right. So until the car is for sale and in production it will stay that way.
