Mitsubishi Evo almost coming off track...

i was up at mallala a few weekends ago and managed to get a shot of this blue evo 9 which took the corner a little fast and almost came to grief driving onto the shoulder of the track. Made a good photo op:

looks like the tire rim is on the ground.

I hadn't noticed that before, I think the ground sloped away from me a bit, hence the illusion of the rim touching the track.

    edit:
goddamn evo's you're not supposed to overtake me on the warm up lap, i don't care if you're faster than me the rules still apply[/rant]

We are back online. Anyways, for the record I think they are a very cool car. I assume they go up on three wheels because all the elctronic control sytems are keeping the car from understeering off the track. Plus they look tough and purposful.

He looks like he turned out of clubhouse too late, a nice early entry is needed as the saw tooth curb unsettles the car big time

yeah the track cambers off there a fair bit, the guy should be over about 5 feet so he can straightline the esses, that side of the track will suck the car in for a spin because of the camber ( I know Ive done it).

Tim how did the Black RX7 go with the ADJUST number plates ?, its a mates car and he just got a new turbo, fuel upgrade, its a weapon.

I will see how I go, i will try and make it out there. If so i will keep an eye for your cars. The Rx7 looked very nice but I dont think it was running that fast. i think I read elsewhere that it may have been having mechanical problems on the day?
