I started smoking when I was about 15 I think. I tried to quit during high-school but my throat reacted quite badly and left me coffing for 5 months. After 5 months I started smoking again and the coff disappeared. Quit again august 1.5 years ago and everything was good until I went to Croatia for work... cheap cigarettes and a lot of my friends were smoking. Quit again last august and been good since then.

My last quiting strategy worked best. For all the money I saved from quiting cigarattes I spent the money on beer, nice dinners and fun stuff About 30Euros a week. Suddenly it made no sense wasting money on cigarettes.

I still smoke when I drink larger amounts, but I don't feel any addiction anymore

    You're right syko
There was a time when I thought it was, or I guess I convinced myself it was. It felt good and relaxing. And when I struggled with an exam or tests I allways had the answer after a cig. I think it had more to do with fresh air... plus cigs actually increases the heartrate and stress.
After a while it tastes good because you feed the addiction. Once the addiction is gone it doesn't taste very good.

Used to smoke 7 years and about 2 packs a day, until i got my lungs so messed up that i HAD to quit. When i quit smoking i had to give up coffee drinking too and even now 5,5 years later i can't drink coffee without craving for smoke. Good thing same don't happen when drinking Beer.

Just the smell of cigarettes is enough to deter me. Just a horrid smell.

I do love the smell of cigars and pipe tobacco though. I'll have a very occasional cigar.

Don't smoke. I have had maybe a pack of cigs and a cigar in my whole life. When I went to Israel 1.5 years ago my friends and I went to a teen club() and everybody was chainsmoking. There was a bluish haze over everything.
(You would not have been happy Rasmus )
It just completely turned me away from ever wanting to smoke other than for celebrating. Interestingly enough, this event (and Israel in general) completely desensitized my nose to tobacco smoke.

smoke about a pack a day. i feel it in the mornings and when i do something physically straining. but whatever, its my favorite thing to do and is more enjoyable to me than any hobby i had. started back in 2001. hookas cool too. tried kicking the habit once back in the day, but couldnt help smiling at myself. i have an addictive personality.

Sometimes i'll smoke when I'm out drinking with friends or something. Nicotine and alcohol seem to mix rather well.

Back in high school I would smoke cigs sometimes when drinking, for the same reason as jcp
Never smoked them other than that though, i dont enjoy adding artificial crutches to my life. It's a waste of money and time, and there are more fun casual things to do with friends. It's also worth saying that dipping/chewing/snuff is nasty as ****.
In the past year or two I have been smoking plenty of shisha (tobacco) though, I love smoking hookah. So yeah I identify myself as a smoker.
