Paid for daughter and her boyfriend to do the BMW renn taxi for 21st birthday.
The smile lasted a week and the driver show-boated at every opportunity in passing spectators at the main curves.
As she put it "doing 110 with the wheels squealing and THEN he flicked it sideways to show off and we coudl hear the cheers"

Can I go out with your daughter just to be on the ring taxi?

Couple of old clips of single seater in hillclimbs.
The first is Doune ... to put it in context he is up to 110+mph through the trees before braking into the open area
Second, check out the springs working

I miss old Honda. I don't like the direction the company's heading.

I would certainly at least like to stop by Motegi. The one in Torrance CA isn't open to the public.

I agree, and don't think Soichiro would be happy with the direction of the company he founded.

The last Honda to honor his spirit was the S2000. Don't know if it's still the highest specific output production engine, but 120 horsepower per liter with killer audio cements it's place as one of the all-time great sports cars.

The Accord isn't bad is it? And the Jazz as well.

Shame for the track, not only it is a bit of a stretch, but having to cross an ocean just to use it is a bit of a minus...

On the plus side though, having a UCP playland would be pretty fantastic.

Agreed. We need moar wagons and less stupid crossovers!

The TSX is fine, it just needs a manual. The Jazz isn't large enough- a US Accord-sized Jazz wagon/hatchback would suit very nicely in my opinion. Before anyone suggests the CR-V, I hate the CR-V- too tall and stupid looking, the Pilot's grown too large.

And again, we need moar wagons!
