I like the front, but the rear is too much like the Camaro and GTR, neither of which come close to being good looking.

7-speed manual is an interesting development. I also read somewhere that if it wasn't for fuel economy the car would be lighter (cylinder deactivation, direct fuel injection et al are apparently quite heavy). As it stands it will weight about the same as the outgoing car.

If it's priced right why not, altough it will be as residual as Cadillacs in Europe...

For being the "flagship", the similarities are just too similar especially for being a new model. I like it, but they could have been a little more creative.

    Camaro vs. Corvette

And ive exhausted my photoshop abilities.

Overall shape and design completely stolen from Ferrari and the 599, the taillights aren't round to avoid a complete copy

    Disappointing.

And how is this a "Stingray"? I can see the "Stingray" in the original Stingray, and the recent Stingray concept, but how is this a "Stingray"??

I'm glad it doesn't really look like the original Stingray. Making a retro 'vette would've been an huge mistake. I think it looks fine, solid links to the previous models while being fresh, new and aggressive.

Btw, the overall shape was in the C5 before the 599. And they had round tail lights first.

The design is not really that similar to the 599. It's just as similar to the C6 which was out before the 599. The use of round tail lights would hardly be a theft from Ferrari given that this is the first Corvette in perhaps ever to not used round/roundish tail lights (the later C4 being rounded squares). The Viper design team would have more cause for complaint except that the Viper came out only a few months earlier and thus it wasn't long enough for the Corvette team to steal the design.

Late C1s didn't have round taillights, did they?
